Our Mission Statement
To ensure that senior citizens 60 years and older will not be isolated, neglected nor forgotten, but remain in the mainstream of life as productive members of our community.
Our Vision
- To continue to improve the lives of the elderly and disabled through nutrition, recreation and socialization.
- To educate the elderly with knowledge on the services and programs available for the aged.
- To empower and encourage all seniors to participate in their care and quality of life, through sharing of their individual skills and experience with family and caregivers.
- To encourage respect for clients and co-workers within the organization and throughout the counties served.
- To reinforce that each person does not stand alone and FOEC is there for them with compassion shown through our actions on their behalf.

Board Statement
- We acknowledge the mission statement of FOEC and its commitment to support and embrace the needs outlined for the seniors of Matagorda and Jackson counties.
- We recognize that our collaboration as a team assures the continued viability of the FOEC with sound fiscal management and support of its leadership.
- We are united through our efforts in volunteering for the cause of a higher quality of life for the elderly we are entrusted with.
From the FOEC Bylaws
The affairs of the Corporation shall be managed by its Board of Directors. Directors must be residents of the State of Texas and may not be an employee of the Corporation. At least three-fourths (3/4) of the total number of Board Directors must be residents of either Jackson or Matagorda Counties. The role of the Board of Directors is to govern by policy, prepare for the future through strategic planning, monitor results by evaluation and volunteer when requested to do so.
